There is growing disparity between states with respect to their treatment of residents. Issues of income taxation, death taxation, and asset protection vary widely from one state to another. Is it time to get out of Dodge? This program will address the key distinctions between domicile and residence. It will address severing ties with the state the client wishes to leave, and establishing ties with the state the client wants to call a new domicile. Participants will learn practical steps to successfully establish a change to a carefully considered domicile.

Speaker Bio:

Steven is president of The Siegel Group, a Morristown, NJ-based national consulting firm specializing in tax consulting, estate planning, and advising family business owners and entrepreneurs. Steven is the author of many books and is a nationally recognized speaker who has lectured on tax, business and estate planning topics. He has also served as an adjunct professor of law at both Seton Hall and Rutgers University law schools.
