June 29 @ 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm (VIRTUAL)
Deirdre R. Wheatley-Liss, Esq., LL.M.
The New Critical Audit Matters Disclosure
The standard Auditor’s Report hardly changed over the past twenty-five years – until now. The new auditor’s report requires CPAs to include a section on Critical Audit Matters (CAM) matters required to be communicated to the audit committee that (1) relate to accounts or disclosures material to the financial statements, and (2) involve especially challenging, subjective judgements but do not affect the overall opinion on the financial statements, taken as a whole. This seminar will explore CAM and will provide “real” examples of CAM reported in auditors’ reports to date. Qualitifies as 3 accounting/auditing credits.

July 20 @ 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm (VIRTUAL)
Steven Siegel, JD, LLM
Qualifies as 3 taxation credits.
This seminar will address the mistakes that clients typically make – and that planners sometimes ignore or fail to consider. It will offer solutions and suggestions on the best ways to avoid these mistakes. Mr. Siegel will cover the failure to plan and outdated planning, mistakes and considerations when choosing beneficiaries and fiduciaries, and cautions about trusts and charitable giving. The latest planning considerations in a changing, tax law environment will also be discussed.
